Mt. Charleston

We actually have a green mountain in Vegas. It is really pretty and about 30 degrees cooler than the city. We love to go up there in the summer to get out of the heat. Zac and Kylee are both pretty good hikers and won't let us carry them. Kylee's favorite part was all the dogs that people had up there and Zac liked looking for lizards with Ben.

The month of July in a nutshell

Andrew, Olivia, Kylee and Zac are having fun playing in the water in our backyard. Hooray that we have a yard (if you can call it that) now.

The 24th of Jyly parade in Fairview. Kylee was not too happy about it. I went up to my Mom's house for a week for my 10 year class reunion (which all of you who did not show up are in trouble) and a bridal shower for Ashley (Colton's fiance). We went to 2 parades, swimming, palisade and lots of playing at Nanny's house. I also took Zac to the Demolition Derby and he loved it. He had to cover his ears the whole time because it was loud, but he still had a great time.

Zac really got into the parade this year. He collected himself a full bag of candy.

Kylee at Palisade.

We went to Palisade with my cousins Angie and Janakay and Angie's friend Tori and all their kids. We rode paddle boats and swam in the lake. It was lots of fun. The next day Kylee kept asking to ride in the boat.

Zac on Nanny's kitchen floor.

Kylee in her new dress Nanny bought her at Lamb Day.

Zac kept begging to go to the "Dinosaur Museum" which is actually the Natural History Museum. There is lots of cool stuff there, but Zac was most excited about seeing the life size dinosaurs until he saw them. They made loud shreeking noises and he didn't like that at all, so we didn't stay in that part of the museum for very long.
He covered his ears the whole time we were in there.

Kylee isn't quite tall enough to put her head in the tank. Zac looks like he' sin a space suit. This is still part of the museum.

We went to Ben's parents house in Washington for a week over the 4th of July. One of the days we went up to Mount Rainier and hiked up to the falls. It is such a pretty place.

Josh, Erin and little Eliza came with us. Erin was a trooper becaue she is 4 months pregnant or something like that.

Kylee and Eliza were holding hands. That was much better than when Kylee would pull her hair and not let go.

Zac actually hiked the whole way, but Kylee had to be carried most of the time and then she fell asleep on Ben on our way back to the car. Ben caught Zac a frog and he was in heaven. He carried it in a cup the whole time, but then a ranger came by and made him put it back. He wasn't too happy at all about that. We had another on that she didn't see and Zac got to keep it for a few days. We had to leave it with his cousins when we left, but he really wanted to take it on the airplane.

We went to fishhook river on the 4th of July and did a little boating and let the kids play in the swim area. Josh couldn't fit into any of the life Jackets. Gotta love Josh.

My arms were so sore the next day after riding on this tube. We pretty much had to hang on for dear life. I wanted to wake board, but the water was really choppy.

Kylee was begging food and drinks off of anyone who would give her some.

We had a barbeque at Dave's house and the kids all had a blast playing in the little pool and throwing the water on each other.

It is so hot in July, so we have to find fun things to do indoors. I went with some friends to the Pump-it-up. Zac loves that place and I thought Kylee would too, but she didn't warm up to in until it was time to leave. Maybe next time she will like it better.

He can finally climb up those things.

When ever I go on a girls night out, Ben takes the kids to Krispy Kreme. That is Zac's absolute favorite place. He wants to be a Krispy Kreme doughnut make when he grows up. Kylee gets so excited when she sees the sprinkle doughnuts, but she won't eat it, she just wants to hold it.

Another good indoor activity was going to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Both of the kids loved it and Ben and I thought it was pretty cool too.

I haven't blogged in a long time and this month was pretty action packed. I know there are lots of pictures, but that's how i'll remember all of these times since I never have time to scrapbook anymore.
