Adam is 6 months old

My baby is already 6 months old. Adam is the happiest, smiliest baby ever, but he's kind of lazy because he doesn't roll at all yet and he's not even close to sitting up. He weighs 18 lbs and is 28 inches long. What a cutie pie!

Kylee turns 3

Kylee turned 3 on November 8th. She had a pink princess party with 5 of her little friends. We put makeup and glitter on all the girls and painted their nails. They each got a crown and decorated their own wand. It was fun, but i'm glad birthday parties are over for a while. Kylee was so onrey all morning before her party started and I even let her eat a cupcake for breakfast, which probably didn't help the situation. She had a good time once the party started though.

Halloween

This year Zac was a pirate, Kylee a spider witch and Adam was a robot. Zac and Kylee loved dressing up, but Adam didn't love it. He looked super cute though. We had parties all week. The trunk-or-treat, Kylee's play group party, Zac's preschool party, a party at the Melgar's house and then actual Halloween. Our neighborhood had so many people trick-or-treating. One house had a haunted house in their garage and fire engine was driving up and down the streets blaring their sirens and throwing out candy. It was pretty crazy.

Andrew and Olivia came to our house on Halloween and went trick-or-treating with us. Zac and Andrew loved passing out candy to the people who came to our house.

We made pumpkin pancakes. Kylee loved helping me make them, but didn't want to eat them. Zac loved them though.

The Melgars had a really fun party with lots of good food and a movie outside for the kids. Chelsea's father in law dressed up like a clown and passed out balloons and glow sticks to all the kids.

Adam and Gage Carlisle were born on the same day and in the same hospital. They are going to be good buddies.

Zac painted his pumpkin like an alien. What a surprise! haha!

Kylee painted her pumpkin pink. Another big surprise.

Playing games at Zac's preschool party.

Blowing spiders with a straw.

Making and eating marshmellow spiders.

Zac got to have Aiden come over and party with our little group of Kylee's friends.

Trunk-or-treat!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Josh and Erin visit!!!

Josh, Erin, Eliza and Justin came to visit us for a week. It was a fun/crazy time.

Justin celebrated his first birthday at our house. We warmed up our pool and went swimming and then had cupcakes. I think Kylee and Eliza made a bigger mess than Justin.

Josh the dork!

We took them to a pumpkin patch that they have by our house every october. It's a total rip off, but the kids love it.

What a crew!

We had lots of fun with them. I hope they didn't go home too traumatized. Kylee had Eliza's face scratched up 5 minutes after they got to our house. Justin burned his leg on my curling iron. Erin was really hot the whole time and Josh got stuck watching all the kids while we went shopping. We are so glad that they came!!!

Chicago!!!

The first night we were there we ate at a yummy french bistro restaurant. (i'm not sure why the pics are all bunched up here???)

John Hancock bldg. We went to the top and saw the whole city.

the water tower

This is what the neighborhoods looked like and the other picture is a church right in the city.

Eating at an italian restaurant. As you will see we did a lot of eating and all the food was very yummy! I probably would have gained 10 lbs. but we walked so much that it must have counter balanced.

The city from the top of the Hancock bldg. It was really cool, but our camera didn't capture it very well.

Ben being a dork

Adam slept in the tub in our hotel room. It worked great!

I LOVE this picture

This was taken at Navy Pier.

View of the city from Navy Pier

Lake Michigan

This was taken just before we got on a boat to do a river cruise through the city.

Ben took Adam to the lower deck of the boat because it was getting hot. Luckily I went down about 5 minutes later because Adam had the worst blow out of his life right after I took this picture. It was running down his leg and up his back. Good thing I was prepared with extra outfits. I don't know if it was all the food I was eating, but he had a blow out almost every day we were there. He was such a trooper though.

Adam just after the blow out.

more of the city. this place went on forever.

just before we got off the boat.

chicago style deep dish pizza is the best pizza i've ever had. I have been craving it since we got home.

There is some weird bean looking thing in the middle of millenium park and we took a pic of our reflections.

Grant park. It was very pretty with all the leaves changing colors and falling everywhere.

Lincoln park zoo! It was a full on zoo and it was free. I was wishing Zac and Kylee were with us when we went there.

walking down old town chicago

We ate at the best indian restaurant just before we flew home. We ate so much food I thought I was going to be sick, but it was soooo good.
We had a lot of fun in Chicago. I spent the first 2 days doing lots of shopping on the Miracle Mile shops while Ben worked. Then we spent the rest of the time walking, touring around the city, eating lots of food, more walking. We even ended up in the ghetto for a minute which was kinda scary. Chicago was a cool city, but too busy for me.
