The first night we were there we ate at a yummy french bistro restaurant. (i'm not sure why the pics are all bunched up here???)
John Hancock bldg. We went to the top and saw the whole city.
the water tower
This is what the neighborhoods looked like and the other picture is a church right in the city.
Eating at an italian restaurant. As you will see we did a lot of eating and all the food was very yummy! I probably would have gained 10 lbs. but we walked so much that it must have counter balanced.
The city from the top of the Hancock bldg. It was really cool, but our camera didn't capture it very well.
Ben being a dork
Adam slept in the tub in our hotel room. It worked great!
I LOVE this picture
This was taken at Navy Pier.
View of the city from Navy Pier
Lake Michigan
This was taken just before we got on a boat to do a river cruise through the city.
Ben took Adam to the lower deck of the boat because it was getting hot. Luckily I went down about 5 minutes later because Adam had the worst blow out of his life right after I took this picture. It was running down his leg and up his back. Good thing I was prepared with extra outfits. I don't know if it was all the food I was eating, but he had a blow out almost every day we were there. He was such a trooper though.
Adam just after the blow out.
more of the city. this place went on forever.
just before we got off the boat.
chicago style deep dish pizza is the best pizza i've ever had. I have been craving it since we got home.
There is some weird bean looking thing in the middle of millenium park and we took a pic of our reflections.
Grant park. It was very pretty with all the leaves changing colors and falling everywhere.
Lincoln park zoo! It was a full on zoo and it was free. I was wishing Zac and Kylee were with us when we went there.
walking down old town chicago
We ate at the best indian restaurant just before we flew home. We ate so much food I thought I was going to be sick, but it was soooo good.
We had a lot of fun in Chicago. I spent the first 2 days doing lots of shopping on the Miracle Mile shops while Ben worked. Then we spent the rest of the time walking, touring around the city, eating lots of food, more walking. We even ended up in the ghetto for a minute which was kinda scary. Chicago was a cool city, but too busy for me.

We LOVE Chicago! My husband is from there and after reading this post I'm thinking we need to go visit the in-laws again! Such a fun city! And I love how happy Adam looks after his blow-out. Hilarious!
